Beijing to Monitor Air Pollution Starting This Week

Residents in Beijing consistently complain about the high levels of air pollution in the city. In response to public opinion, the government has decided to take a positive step forward and monitor the air quality. Just this week, the Environmental Monitoring Centre in Beijing has started recording the Particulate Matter (PM) readings in the air for pollutants.

Only a few days ago heavy smog blanketed Beijing, causing nearly 700 flights to be cancelled at the airport. This caused a great deal of public outrage, prompting the government to start monitoring PM readings of 2.5 micrometers or less. It is hoped that when this information is made public knowledge, people will be encouraged to adopt cleaner lifestyles.

I have been running a beer pong tournament every weekend for the past two years. How I run the event has significantly evolved over time and I thought I would post my recommendations on how to run an efficient beer pong tournament.

Make sure you collect at least $5 from every team so there is a prize pool. People lose interest in tournaments very easily if there isn’t some type of tangible prize on the line. How you divy up the prize pool is really up to you, although I like to keep it simple and just award 70% of the prize pool to the winner and 30% to the runner up.

Play with water in the cups. People are going to complain, they are going to say things like “uhhhh I thought this was beer pong”. CLASSIFICATION It can be classified as either: wet welding or dry welding.

(I)Wet welding Wet welding is carried out under water and directly exposed to wet environment. Special electrodes are used and it is the most effective due its freedom of movement.

ADVANTAGES OF WET WELDING

-it is versatile and inexpensive -it is fast -no time is wasted building enclosures

DISADVANTAGES OF WET WELDING

-Rapid quenching of the weld metal increases hardness and porosity. -There is hydrogen embrittlement of the weldment -poor visibility

(II)DRY WELDING(HYPERBARIC WELDING) . This process is carried out in a chamber that is sealed around the structure to be welded. A gas(in most cases Helium with oxygen at 0.5 bar) is used to fill the chamber at prevailing pressures.

ADVANTAGES OF DRY WELDING

-it is safer than wet welding -produces high quality welds since there is no rapid quenching. -it allows for surface monitoring of the weldment mostly through non-destructive testing

Tom Was Surprrsed at the Amount of Junk Cars in the Junk Yard

When Tom when to the salvage yard to get a part, he could not believe the amount of junk cars that were located there. In fact they went as far as the eye could see. He figured there must have been at least one type of every car that was made all over the world located in this particular junk yard. He was here to get a muffler off of a car that was the same year, make and model of his own working car. Last week his daughter had ran over a curb and ripped off the muffler. The end result was a spectacular roar and intense vibrations coming from the rear of the car. Tom thought this would be an easy job, just to pull in snab the part and then head back to the shop. Now he could see that it may take quite awhile to find the car he needed.

I Think Going to Lisbon for Vacation is Terrific

ARTinvestment.RU English / Exhibitions of works of art / Stella Art ...I was more than willing to enjoy a fabulous vacation in the city of Lisbon. Before I knew it, I already bought my ticket for one of the flights to Lisbon. I had a miraculous feeling that it would be so nice to spend a vacation in such an extravagant city. I arrived at the vacation spot and checked my bags in the Heritage Av Liberdade hotel. I was ready to have a great vacation stay. I was able to have many incredible dining experiences while I was in Lisbon. I enjoyed dining in at the Wine Bar do Castelo and Assinatura restaurants. I absolutely loved going to the Gulbenkian Museum, which let me learn more about Egyptian sculptures. I definitely enjoyed a very nice tour package while I was in Lisbon. The nightlife was absolutely nonstop and quite phenomenal. Oh yeah, I had a terrific vacation stay in Lisbon.

We Hope to Go Camping More Often

I would really love to travel. I know that one of the cheapest and funnest ways to travel is to go to the Florida RV Parks and camp out in our RV. It will be quite nice for us to enjoy nature while still having the minimalist amenities. I really enjoy camping in the RV because it protects us from the element better than anything else can. I also enjoy the simplicity of having everything that we need in an RV. I do hope that we continue to have a lot of fun with this. I think that it is something that the family has gotten used to and we have come to enjoy it so much that we do it a lot more often than we used to. It is so relaxing, and it is always so very fun to go exploring. I truly love the fact that we are an outdoor kind of family.
